This year we’ll celebrate La
Quinceañera, the 15th Annual
Cincinnati Hispanic Fest,
Cincinnati’s first and largest Latino festival.
This festival is managed and staffed exclusively by volunteers
and its proceeds are used solely for the benefit of the Hispanic
community.
It is traditional for young Latina women in the community to
compete for the honor of being crowned "La Reina" or "The Queen"
of the festival. The young ladies work hard to raise funds to
donate in order to help fund important community outreach
activities.
Since 1997, the Cincinnati Hispanic
Fest has been recognized as the largest of all Greater
Cincinnati “festivals.” The festival features traditional
Hispanic foods, music, dancing, games, arts and crafts and
entertainment; The Hispanic Queen of this region is crowned
every year.
Last
year, the Festival hosted almost 35,000 visitors, setting a new
attendance record. In 2000, the festival also received the
Cincinnati Enquirer's "Good Taste" Award. This year's Festival
will again feature authentic ethnic food, games, and Latin
music, as well as folkloric dancing groups representing many
different Latin American countries.
The Hispanic Fest has been
selected by “City Beat” as the best ethnic fiesta in
Cincinnati.
The festival will take place on
September 13th and 14th, the second
Saturday/Sunday of September.
As last year, the Festival will take
place at the Hamilton County Fairgrounds, on Vine St. two blocks
from Su Casa Hispanic Center. This location, with spacious
parking available on premises, is in the middle of Hamilton
County and is easily accessible from anywhere in the Tri-State.
With more space, better access, and with more activities for the
entire family, this was our best festival ever! With about
35,000 people attending, 85 percent of which were Hispanics,
this is the largest annual Latino Festival in the Southwest Ohio
and Northern Kentucky and thus the best event to reach out to
the Hispanic community.
Many businesses are now turning to
event marketing as a great way to advertise and/or supplement
their overall promotional and advertising campaigns. By
sponsoring this festival, you will have a fantastic opportunity
to reach out to the fastest growing ethnic group in the U.S. and
be able to present to them your products and services, to get
your name in front of thousands of potential customers, and to
make a difference in the Cincinnati community by becoming
associated with what is sure to be an outstanding event for
everyone involved.
Admission is free and all are welcome. Parking is available at
the Hamilton Co. Fairgrounds for only $5.00. |
